Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the dispatching, in service monitoring and turn-in activities involved in daily transit operations.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manger to ensure that vehicles dispatched are in proper working conditions.
  • Assists the General Manager and Assistant General Manager in day-to-day operational oversight of location operations including billing, payroll, routing/scheduling, DOT & state compliance, accounts receivable and accounts payable, recruitment and hiring of location employees.
  • Prepare and verify operations payroll.
  • Develop manpower requirements for Road Supervisors, Dispatchers, Operators and Service Personnel.
  • Coordinate operations personnel selection, recruitment and training with the Safety Manager.
  • Assist in developing procedure manuals for Dispatchers, Road Supervisors, Operators and Service personnel.

Maintenance Managers Responsibilities

  • Be on duty at times of peak maintenance and bus operations.
  • Maintain and submit upon request monthly maintenance reports including mileage, vehicle condition reports, fuel and fluid consumption, and in-service percentages for the bus fleet. 
  • Manage warranty claims and enforcement, if applicable. Insure that spare part inventories are properly maintained and sufficient to insure in-service objectives. 
  • Maintain daily reports of bus availability, vehicles undergoing maintenance, and when they are expected to be returned to service. 
  • Schedules and administers fleet maintenance, assists in troubleshooting problems with equipment. Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatch and other operations personnel.
  • Works closely with the Operations Manager and region maintenance management providing status of maintenance and budget requirements.  May review financial and budget variances, review repair orders or code and approve account payable documents.
  • Ensures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company requirements.  Ensures a safe environment exists and that all maintenance and related activities are in conformance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews repair orders.  May order fuel for vehicles, order parts, and subcontract repair work.
  • Initiates and implements projects that improve efficiency and/or reduces operating costs.
  • Ensures that maintenance technicians are trained on current operating procedures, are properly equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervises bus fueling. May arrange services for building and ground keeping.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.  Required to perform hands-on work activities.

To be a Maintenance Manager, you must have: 

  • ASE automotive/truck certifications (master level preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining a fleet of a minimum of 100 vehicles.
  • ASE Certified Master Technician or five years’ equivalent experience as a Maintenance Manager.
  • Experience with maintenance and operation of AVL, APC, and CCTV systems.
  • May require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Industry experience repairing and maintaining gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Strong managerial and training experience with 5+ years in maintenance supervision and administration.

Safety and Training Managers Responsibilities

  • Conduct or supervise interviewing, selection, and recruitment of adequate number of operator applicants to effectively provide safe, efficient, service.
  • Manage driver training and may conduct driver training, recommend retraining and discipline as required. 
  • Conduct or assist General Manager with safety training and meetings. Review accident reports to reduce number and severity of accidents, maintain complete safety files (example is accident report, I-9, bus reports, worker compensation injury reports).
  • Maintain or coordinate complete personnel record keeping. Maintain substance abuse file.
  • Coordinate compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and work closely with General Manager or Designee to accomplish company objectives.
  • Must be able to obtain required license for the all vehicles at the Project location, maintain that license, and at times drive a route.
  • Must be able to pass all requirements to be qualified as a Vehicle Operator would at the location.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

To be a Safety and Training Manager, you must have:

  • 3 to 5 years transportation or safety related experience
  • 3 to 5 years training experience
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written
  • Work extended hours on a regular basis.

Job Summary:
Level A Mechanic – Under general supervision performs preventive vehicle maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work under limited supervision via written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
  • Perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
  • Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles
  • Assists senior technicians in the completion of project work.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 – 4 years of previous experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements:
Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred: Valid CDL

Experience as listed in Mechanic position and 2+ Years of Experience as a Foreman and

We are seeking an assertive and knowledgeable Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team as a Foreman. This is a full time opportunity with some available overtime.
Must have the ability to perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions. Must be able to direct, assist and structure shop activities and will be responsible for staff.
The candidate will also be responsible for schedules and overseeing job completion.

Seeking assertive, self-motivated individuals with knowledge of the local geographic area.  Must have experience with giving directions, using mapping and GPS programs, and have great customer service skills.
